Erinmarie Byrnes
Erinmarie Byrnes joined the Homeless Advocacy Project in September 2023 as a Maida Fellow. She previously interned with HAP in the summer of 2021, and is excited to be back! Her fellowship project supports HAP’s capacity to serve Veterans referred through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program.
Erinmarie received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester, and subsequently served as a Teach for America corps member in Nashville, Tennessee. Her experiences working with low-income students and their families motivated Erinmarie to pursue public interest law and direct services. She graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University Law School, Camden campus, where she served as an Executive Editor for the Rutgers University Law Review, a Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Fellow, and an executive board member of the Association for Public Interest Law. Throughout law school, Erinmarie worked with Veteran clients in the Rutgers Veterans Advocacy Clinic as a student intern and teaching assistant.
