Patrick “PJ” Brogan joined the Homeless Advocacy Project in December 2020 as a paralegal. He works on the SOAR (SSI Outreach, Access, & Recovery) Project, focusing on individuals moving from homelessness into Rapid Rehousing programs.
After graduating from Fordham University, PJ served as a Jesuit Volunteer in a homeless emergency shelter in Missoula, Montana. Since then, he has worked in homeless services as a case manager, working with clients in shelters, permanent supportive housing, and an acute care facility. Most recently, he worked as a case manager at Bethesda Project in Philadelphia, where he linked residents to diverse resources, including medical care, employment, and housing. In all his positions, PJ strives to advocate for his clients using principles of trauma-informed care and harm reduction.
