Due to the federal government shutdown, Pennsylvania is issuing February SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits early. Benefits that would normally be received in February, will be issued on Friday, January 18th, and these benefits will be available for use on Saturday, January 19th. This is not a bonus and people will not be receiving additional SNAP benefits until March at the earliest.
