In its 35th year, HAP is excited to hold its first comedy benefit show at Helium Comedy Club (2031 Sansom Street), where a portion of ticket sales will go toward a cause that’s more important now than ever. The evening will also have a 50/50 raffle, where 50% of proceeds raised go toward HAP, and the other 50% to one lucky winner!
The evening will be headlined by TaTa Sherise, who was featured on The Drew Barrymore Show and Mastery of Comedy during the pandemic. TaTa also has created several viral videos, has been featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer, won competitions, and awards. She’s one half of “Girls Got Giggles” band “Zebra Cakes” podcast that also produces comedy shows, short films, and sketches. Her style is energetic, raw, and she captivates audiences easily with her charm, relatable stories, and movement on stage. She is also the winner of the 2024 Philly’s Phunniest Contest!. Additional performers include: Manny Brown, Jim Gillespie, Rasheed Wesley Jr., Ebony Moore, London Duran, and HAP’s own Shevaun Brannigan.
