HA HAs for HOMES is BACK: A Comedy Benefit Show for HAP
HAP is elated to bring back its Comedy Benefit Show, HA HAs for HOMES held at Helium Comedy Club (2031 Sansom Street) on 11/15 at 4pm. A portion of ticket sales will go toward a cause that’s more important now than ever.
Chanel Ali will be headlining the show. She blossomed in Philadelphia before taking her commanding stage presence and story teller style to NYC. She’s been featured on Netflix, Comedy Central and she can drink way more than you. On the subject of why comedy matters during challenging times, Chanel says, “Comedians have such a gift of perspective, we really study what it means to be human and to feel. It’s healthy to be in a basement full of strangers, giggling together because it’s absurd. We need to be reminded what silly humans we really are, even when the world is wild.”
Additional performers will be Betty Smithsonian, Amber Born, Lamarr Todd, Logan Malin, and Adam Flick. HAP’s own Shevaun Brannigan will be hosting.
The early evening event will also feature a raffle for amazing seats for a to-be-agreed upon Flyers game, as well as a food drive for patrons of South Philly Community Fridge. Highest requested items are: cooking oils (olive, corn, etc.), coffee/tea, condiments like soy sauce, baking supplies like flour, sugar, bread, tortillas, baby food, tampons/pads, baby wipes and diapers. For fridge-specific needs, anything dairy, lunch meat, milk is always requested. Please bring these goods between 3-6 pm to Helium, with HAP’s gratitude.
