HAP Holds First In-Person Clinic in Time of COVID at Broad Street Ministry

On Friday, September 11th, HAP successfully held our first in-person clinic since before COVID!

Over the last few months, we have been reinventing our clinic model to accommodate for our and our clients’ and partners’ safety, holding virtual clinics in several shelters. But we recognize that that not all locations have the infrastructure to go virtual, and we don’t want that to be a barrier going forward. Thanks to our partners over at Broad Street Ministry, we eliminated that barrier. We took all the recommended precautions–big space for distanced seating, combined with limiting intake to accommodate for spacing, lots of sanitizer, masks, and sneeze guards–and after Friday’s success, we are enthused and hopeful to get our other clinics back up and running across the city.

COVID has presented unprecedented challenges, but we are no longer willing to let it get in the way of our clients and community partners and their legal needs. With big thanks to Broad Street Ministry and all of our partners, it feels good to be back!
