Attention advocates and clients: Individuals with disabilities can request reasonable accommodations in city shelters for assistance with medical equipment, ASL interpretation, wheelchair accessible units and other needs. As the result of sustained advocacy by several organizations including the Homeless Advocacy Project, and in collaboration with the City of Philadelphia, the Office of Homeless Services recently created a flyer summarizing the accommodation request and appeal process.
