Nancy Rimmer, Esq.

Legal and Advocacy Director

Nancy Rimmer joined HAP in June 2024 as the Legal and Advocacy Director. She provides leadership and guidance on HAP’s casework and advocacy on behalf of Philadelphians experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Nancy has devoted her legal career to advancing and defending the rights of individuals across Pennsylvania. Before joining HAP, she was the supervising attorney for the employment law practice at Justice at Work, a legal services organization that represents and advocates for immigrant and low-wage workers throughout Pennsylvania. She also served for a decade as a public defender at the Defender Association of Philadelphia, where she held several positions including trial attorney, supervisor, and legal clinic instructor for the Villanova School of Law. Nancy also worked at the Federal Community Defender Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and served as a federal law clerk. She received her J.D. from the New York University School of Law.
